Located in beautiful downtown Belleville Illinois, Tavern on Main offers quality, homemade food and drinks to go along with a great atmosphere. We are happy to accommodate groups both large and small in either our dining area or our large outdoor patio when weather permits.
Our glowing red bar features a frost rail to keep your drinks cold as you are watching sports on any of our five flat-screen TVs. You also have the option of relaxing and dining in the enclosed brick courtyard under flickering sconces while enjoying a glass of wine with your dinner.
Tavern on Main offers a wide array of menu items; The New York Napoleon is a grilled, hand-cut 12-ounce strip steak topped with tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and a tempura basil leaf. It is served with a port wine balsamic glaze, seasonal vegetables and a choice of potatoes. Thai Snapper is sauteed snapper with a mango Thai chili sauce. Bourbon Chicken is a braised chicken breast in a bourbon marinade. Both are served with rice and vegetable. A house salad is included with all entrees.
Our popular Appetizers include the BBQ Shrimp (served with goat cheese grits and toast points) and Spinach Flatbread (spinach-artichoke dip baked on flatbread). Some of our other specialties include the Chicken & Prosciutto Tortelloni and the Lobster BLT Pizza.

Reservations
Tavern on Main takes reservations from Sunday – Thursday. On Fridays and Saturdays, please call ahead 30-40 minutes before you arrive.
